January 2, 2020 – Credence Management Solutions, LLC. (Credence) announced today that it successfully migrated five applications to the Amazon Web Service (AWS) GovCloud (US) region for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) under the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) hosting support contract. Working with AWS Professional Services, Credence and its teammates migrated all five applications in just 138 days.
The migration to the AWS GovCloud (US) region improved security, infrastructure stability, application performance, and efficiencies in infrastructure management via continuous monitoring and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Using an Agile approach, adhering to an aggressive schedule, and with zero impact to operational environments, Credence migrated and is currently sustaining the FedMall, CLS, PPML, EDA, and PALT applications. With the support of AWS and its automated migration tool, CloudEndure Migration, as well as DLA stakeholders, DISA, and five system integrators, Credence migrated the five applications that had more than 70 external interfaces, more than 200 Virtual Machines, and more than 300 TB of data almost six weeks ahead of schedule.
Atul Mathur, the PIEE Program Manager said, “The successful migration of mission-critical DLA applications to AWS GovCloud (US) delivered significant cost savings to the Government, as well as increased efficiency for application management and improved customer experiences.”
“Our collaboration with Credence in successfully migrating five DLA managed DoD applications ahead of schedule lays the foundation on which numerous other DoD mission-essential applications can be rapidly migrated to AWS GovCloud (US), increasing their performance using cloud-native tools that deliver innovative capabilities to the warfighter“ said Dave Levy, Vice President of US Government, AWS Worldwide Public Sector.
