August 21, 2023 — Credence is pleased to share that we have successfully completed the Department of Defense-sanctioned Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment Program (JSVAP), having scored 100% across all 110 security controls. The assessment demonstrates that we have met the requirements to handle Controlled Unclassified Information for our federal government clients and help secure critical assets against a growing cyber threat.
We are proud to be a leader in obtaining this certification and in ensuring that we can continue to meet the needs of our Department of Defense customers. The voluntary process looks at policies and procedures and information security posture across a company to ensure organization-wide compliance and a dedication to safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining the highest standards of data security.
The Department of Defense announced that it will require a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) from all of contractors by 2026. A successful JSVAP earns Credence a Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center high certificate. This certificate should convert to a CMMC Level 2 certification when final CMMC rulemaking is complete.
Our auditing partner, Redspin, an authorized third-party assessment organization, conducted the assessment with the Defense Contract Management Agency/Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center.
